I was lucky to grow up in the beautiful Kleinwalsertal valley, the seventh generation of my family to do so. After university, I followed my passion for the mountains to Alaska, where Kent and I first met in Haines. We reconnected in Kent’s home state of Oregon, where we shared our love of skiing and mountain biking and later married and welcomed our children, Tighe and Nea.

2019 we were invited to take over the operations of Haus Andrea, the guest house my grandparents built in 1956. The opportunity to raise our children surrounded by family, with all of our favorite activities right out our back door and to continue the Fritz family tradition of hospitality was too good to pass up!

We look forward to sharing this special place with friends old and new. We hope our ability to bridge any English/German language barriers and our knowledge of the area as a young family that likes to adventure will be helpful for our guests and give them the fun, relaxing vacation they are looking for.

After 3 winters, we took the plunge in the spring of 2023 and tore down the upper two floors and rebuilt them to last for another three generations. We are thrilled to offer our guests brand new apartments with all the amenities for a carefree stay!

Built in 1956 by Sonja’s grandfather, Haus Andrea has been a true labor of love from the beginning
